I left the South many years ago, but I never forget what we had to do growing up. My parents started us working at an early age, myself at 5 years old, so I don't know what it feels like to NOT work, and work hard. Growing up in NC, my father was a produce harvester, had his own biz, own fleet of trucks and workers, so every summer, nah, every SEASON, me, my mom, my sisters, all of us, were in those hot ass dusty fields picking cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, digging potatoes, cabbage, broccoli, you name it! So when I say we were scratching fortunes out the dirt, it's literal! It was hard, dirty, bust-your-back work, but at 7 years old, during the summer, lol, wasn't nothing to catch me with Benjamins in a knot! So that taught me, way back then, long as I can hustle, me and mines gonna eat. I don't wait for handouts, but I will happily give a hand UP.
